Former BizJet Sales Manager Pleads Guilty to Foreign Bribery

November 2, 2026 · Andreas Olivo

Final BizJet defendant pleads guilty in Mexico-linked foreign-bribery case. Former BizJet regional sales manager Jald Jensen pleaded guilty to conspiracy to violate the FCPA after being extradited from Panama. DOJ says the underlying 2004–2010 scheme involved bribes connected to aircraft-service work for the Mexican presidential fleet, Mexico’s Federal Police, and the Governor of Sinaloa’s fleet. Payments were concealed through U.S. bank accounts and Jensen’s shell company, Avionica International & Associates Inc. BizJet previously paid an $11.8 million corporate penalty.

The plea demonstrates the longevity of individual FCPA exposure: the original indictment dates to 2012, yet extradition and prosecution continued more than a decade later. It also reinforces risks around sales agents, vaguely described commissions, shell companies, and government-controlled customers. Jensen’s plea is verified; it does not represent a new corporate charge against BizJet or Lufthansa.
