A federal indictment unsealed in Tennessee alleges that a Sinaloa Cartel-linked organization moved large drug quantities and laundered millions of dollars through financial transactions and bulk-cash movements to suppliers in Mexico. DOJ describes Mexico-based controllers known as “the Office,” encrypted Signal communications, third-party vehicle registrations, switched license plates, and frequent changes in vehicle ownership. More than 500 kilograms of methamphetamine, 20 kilograms of fentanyl, 60 kilograms of cocaine, $375,000, vehicles, and firearms were reportedly seized.
The case illustrates how cartel-linked networks combine encrypted communications, nominees, vehicle-registration changes, financial transfers, and bulk cash. The release does not identify Mexican recipient businesses, financial institutions, or accounts. All allegations remain unproven, and the defendants are presumed innocent.
